Exemestane use of this drug with steroids in bodybuilding
Eczema in bodybuilding
Eczema, the active ingredient in eczema, is an aromatase inhibitor (AI) used by bodybuilders to combat the side effects of strong estrogenic activity, the most important of which is gynecomastia “male breast development”. These side effects are a common problem with anabolic steroids and should be avoided for obvious reasons. Exemastan is classified as a last-generation antiestrogen, defined as a suicidal inhibitor that binds to the aromatase enzyme, making it inactive, a process that does not return estrogen at the end of its action, as is the case with other aromatase drugs. : Arimidex (Anastrozole)).
Many bodybuilders and advanced athletes use eczema to prevent estrogen side effects when they reach very high levels, which include: gynecomastia, fat accumulation, and water retention.
Exemestane is one of the most effective aromatase inhibitors. The most cited study showed an 85% reduction in estrogen levels. It was developed by Pharmacia & Upjohn, which received a marketing authorization at the end of 1999. It was introduced under the name “Aromasin”, it appeared in the early 2000s. Although the drug has been shown to be effective in some patients at a dose of 2.5 mg per day, the company has developed an effective standard dose of 25 mg tablets.
Although not as potent as letrozole (up to 98% inhibition), exemestane is significantly more potent than anastrozole (up to 70% inhibition).
Exemestane can be used the same day you start a steroid cycle where strong resistance to aromatization is required.
Other aspects of eczema activity that are of interest to the bodybuilder include the ability to increase free testosterone (binding to SHBG) and IGF-1 (insulin growth factor). For this reason, this drug is also very useful in PCT (Post-Cycle Therapy) when trying to restore normal testosterone production levels. Due to the very strong inhibitor, it is important that you are very careful when dosing. Very low estrogen levels can cause a variety of problems, including tendon and joint strain and decreased libido. One 25 mg tablet a day should be enough to effectively lower estrogen levels and prevent side effects. Exemestane peaks in plasma within 2 hours of taking a 25 mg tablet. The active life of the drug is from 24 to 30 hours. This is important because it is much shorter than other AIs. A single oral dose of 25 mg of Exmestan causes maximum inhibition for 2-3 days and lasts for about 4-5 days after ingestion.
